What Is LVP Flooring?

We offer homeowners luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring and luxury vinyl tiles among our many available products. Unlike the old vinyl flooring installed in thin sheets, modern vinyl forms into thick planks or tiles that install in pieces. These individual pieces are often water-resistant or waterproof and highly customizable. Vinyl flooring can mimic the appearance of hardwood, stone, and tile, depending on the print, texture, and finish. It is also incredibly durable, resistant to scratches, scuffs, dents, and warping from moisture.

Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring

Suppose you’re looking for the appearance of natural wood but want something more budget-friendly than expensive oak or other timber. In that case, luxury vinyl plank flooring offers an affordable way to transform an entire house. This luxury vinyl product can mimic the look of hardwood, from the plank sizes to the wood grain details and textures. You can choose from various finishes, including smooth and glossy, textured matte, or even a weathered look for some rustic charm. Your guests won’t be able to tell that your luxury vinyl flooring is not actually hardwood. Even the feel under your feet makes it seem like natural wood.

Luxury Vinyl Tile Flooring

Luxury vinyl tile flooring also provides a variety of looks and finishes. In addition to the hardwood look that vinyl flooring offers, it can also mimic tile and stone. You can opt for a high-gloss tile or a flat stone look so well-textured that guests won’t know the difference. Manufactures craft luxury vinyl tiles in many sizes, so vinyl may be the best option for you if you want a slab surface or a large tile appearance. You can choose textures and colors that look genuine but are much easier to care for than actual stone.

Installing Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring

We have two main methods for installing LVP flooring, depending on the type. One of the most common types of luxury vinyl is a floating floor, which includes a pop-together installation where we hammer each plank into place and attach it to the one before.
This interlocking flooring option is fast and straightforward for installing but can make it noisy if the subfloor is uneven and the planks unpadded. Our installers provide the best possible presentation; if needed, they will sand and level your subfloor to ensure an even, seamless installation. The second installation method uses adhesive to glue each plank into place. Glue-down flooring is excellent for high-traffic areas of the home. It won’t compress when walked over, as a floating one can, so you won’t deal with any creaks and thuds. Whichever option you go with, our team of flooring professionals will install your new flooring with quick, quality service. Whether you want a broad wood plank look or a smooth, glossy tile, we can make your flooring vision a reality.
